Printing Options

Wish Boutique Stationery offers the highest standard and range of design and printing options including digital printing, letterpress printing (embossing), foil printing, white ink printing, printing on wood and engraving. Even printed envelopes.

I want to ensure that your invitations are of the highest standard in design and print so I will only print designs that have been created by myself.

Prices for different printing methods vary.

Digital Printing

Digital Printing is the most common and cost effective option for printing your wedding invitations and stationery. More commonly known as CMYK print. This style of printing allows you to have full colour CMYK with beautiful vibrant colours. Wish uses high end printers that produce beautiful results.

Letterpress and Foil Printing

Letterpress and/or Foil printing is a very traditional printing process and uses old printmaking plates and presses. It creates that beautiful embossed impression of ink or thin foil into beautifully thick luxurious card that we all adore. (Foil is also available on a thinner card with less of an embossed finish)
Letterpress and Foil printing is high end and really is something that will impress your guests with it’s beautiful tactile quality.
Pricing for these printing styles depends on how many colours you wish to include in each card. Metal plates for each colour (like stamps) are then custom made and pressed into the card.
There is a minimum order for this style of printing which starts at 50 invitations.
Letterpress and Foil invitations are worth the investment!

White Ink and Metallic Printing

White ink printing and metallic ink printing is very similar to digital printing. White ink is perfect for darker coloured dyed cards or the semi transparent Vellum Metallic ink printing has a beautiful gold or silver shimmer through it - not to be mistaken with foil printing.

Printing on Wood

Yes – You can print on wood! Printing on Wood uses the digital printing process on a specialty flat bed machine and produces impressive results.
Engraved and laser cut wood also offers amazing results with the design laser engraved into the wood. The laser cutter also offers custom shapes such as circles. The engraving gently burns the design into the wood but leaves a beautiful sharp finish unlike other laser engraving invitations that are often black around the edges. I use machines that are less intense and therefore do not have these ugly burns to the wood.
Wooden invitations and stationery have a beautiful imperfect wood grain texture and therefore no two are the same. Wooden invites can also have a paper duplexed back (pictured) which offers a nice contrast and added thickness.
